Who we are, what we do and who we do it for...
Who are we?
Hello and thank you for taking to the time to read this blog. I thought it might be a good idea to explain a little about who we are, what we do and who we typically work with. Then, if you're in a similar position and would like to talk to us about your own specific building projects, hopefully you'll get in touch.
Iwanski Design is owned by lovely a Polish family, living in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Moving to the UK over 20 years ago they now employ around 10 tradesmen. My name is Paul and as Senior Manager my role is to help with marketing as well as assisting the managing director, Remi Iwanski, run the business.
Most if not all of the tradesmen are either family members or long term friends of the family. So very trustworthy and extremely knowledgeable about most aspects of the UK and European building industries. They work hard, from 8am until 5pm throughout the week with a couple of 30 minute breaks each day for refreshments (including hot beetroot?)
What we do
Most would refer to us as 'General Builders' or 'Building Contractors'. We do on occasion sub-contract work out for specialist skills such as Piling or Scaffolding, however, most of the time its down to us to deliver a building project on time and within budget.
We undertake all types of property development including extensions, renovations, loft conversions, space remodelling, fitting new kitchens and bathrooms, bespoke carpentry, plumbing, electrics, plastering and decorating. You'll also see us working outside creating new driveways, garden rooms or studios and enveloping a building with either rendering or cladding. If fact, there isn't much we're unable to do. No project too big or too small you might say.
Who we do it for
We help home owners realise their dreams. Sometimes working in collaboration with architects our aim is to create a beautiful living space, hence Iwanski Design. Usually a home owner would get in touch if they are planning some sort of home improvement. They send us their architect's drawings and we quote based on a site survey and what we understand from the information provided. Once a cost is agreed we project manage the whole process from start to finish. Occasionally we even create a WhatsApp group that includes our own primary contacts, and the client, so that any related information and further updates can be communicated effectively and efficiently.
